        dating: circa 1500 provenance: Germany, Made of iron, with long, elegant head consisting of six pointed and pierced ribs with lugs. Olive-shaped cusp. Six-sided shaft. Enlarged handle carved with coils. Formerly from the R. Parker collection.Exhibited at Ironmonger Hall, London 1861.Sold at Christie's, London 29-04-1968. length 51.5 cm.

        Excellent Medieval Bronze & Turned Wood Mace

        Circa 1500, likely Russia. The piece having a heavily formed head with what appears to be cyrilic alphabet impressed into the segments. The handle looks to date the 18th century or earlier. Nice early surface. L16 1/2" Sold from the collection of a private Southern gentleman diplomat.

        dating: circa 1500 provenance: Italy "Small head with six lobed ribs on the base, geometrical engraving remains on both sides and traces of brass tarsia, pinecone-shaped carved cusp, cylindrical two-stage shaft divided into rings like the ends, on the lower part is a hole for a strap; grip of octagonal section, engraved in scales, flattened-sphere pommel. Weapon of great elegance; the small head, the engraving, the inlaid work remains and the thin structure recall a baton rather than a proper weapon." dimensions: height 63 cm.
