        This 1921 dated print is signed in pencil by H Macbeth Raeburn (1860-1947). The color image of the Scottish officer is in 23" x 33" glass frame. Frame is original and show wear and age. The image has a lot of foxing and some fading. It still have strong color. In very small print at bottom of print is printer information and statement Macbeth-Raeburn autographed this in 1921 in New York City.

Nel 1784 si trasferisce a Londra dove conosce l'importante ritrattista Joshua Reynolds. Soggiornì in Italia ma tornì a Edimburgo nel 1787 dove iniziì a dipingere ritratti riscuotendo un notevole successo e nel 1822 fu nominato cavaliere quando il re visitì Edimburgo. L'opera è corredata da una scheda di Giancarlo Sestieri.
