Tyra Lundgren (Swedish, 1897-1979). Exquisite studio ceramic wall plaque depicting an assemblage of layered fish in relief, possibly mackerel, ca. 1970. Stoneware with several muted and earthy toned glazes. Each fish bears a unique and captivating carved texture, including one with elaborate, individually incised scales, another with delicate cross-hatching, and several with both stippled and raised circular "dot" motifs. Stamped along the lower right.
