ALBERTO FABIO (FABIUS) LORENZI (1880-1969). NICE. 1926. 22x15 inches, 57x40 cm. L'Eclaireur, Nice.

    Est: $800 - $1,200

ALBERTO FABIO (FABIUS) LORENZI (1880-1969) NICE. 1926. 22 1/2x15 3/4 inches, 57 1/4x40 cm. L'Eclaireur, Nice. Condition B+ / B: restored losses, repaired tears and overpainting in margins; creases in margins and image and along vertical and horizontal fold; pin holes in margins. Lorenzi was an illustrator who used his inimitable Art Deco style to depict attractive young woman involved in various activities and settings, from the boudoir to the sporting fields, effectively presenting the public with early pin-ups. His beguiling coquettes appeared in the magazines, Le Sourire and Fantasio, among others. This is one of only two posters he designed; the other, Caux, depicts France's northern coast. This is the smaller format. Riviera 80.
