      LIU YUCEN FAMILLE ROSE BRUSH POT

      Chinese Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Liu Yucen Flowers and Birds Porcelain Brush Pot. Potted in cylindrical flori body, thick, gently tapered to straight close flori mouth rim, with deep concave to input the pen, raised with short round foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of detail flowers bloom and birds with Chinese calligraphy lettering inscriptions poems, followed with artist's signature and iron-red seals on the upper left side. Liu Yucen (1904-1969), male, formerly known as Yucheng, one of the masters of Zhushan Bayou porcelain plate painting, a master of Chinese ceramic art, who lived in Boyang County, Jiangxi Province. He started his career in ceramic art for more than 40 years in small freehand painting of ceramic flowers and birds has influenced generations of young artists. Liu Yucen paid attention to experiencing life in his long-term artistic career of flower-and-bird painting creation. In order to observe the habits and dynamics of flowers, birds, insects and fish, flower beds are set up in front of the dormitory to grow peonies, and starlings and goldfish are raised in the courtyard. At the same time, attention is paid to the cultivation of literature, poetry, calligraphy, and wrote a lot of poems in his life. The ceramic art works of his youth are extremely meticulous and other porcelain plate painting. Made in The Years Xuantong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
