      • Pieter Lisaert (Anversa 1574 - dopo 1615)
        May. 24, 2022

        Pieter Lisaert (Anversa 1574 - dopo 1615)

        Est: €3,000 - €5,000

Pieter Lisaert (Antwerp 1574 - after 1615) Female Musicians or The Foolish Virgins Oil on panel 49,5 x 46 cm The artist's production is very scarce and marked by high quality. Among his artworks is the Last Judgment (Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon) signed by him. Our artwork refers to the most representative motif of him: Parable of the foolish virgins and wise virgins (Mt 25: 1-13). Of this series of artworks we know a signed version in the private collection of Seville, a version kept in the Prado Museum, another in the National Gallery of Finland.
