Working as a commercial artist in the 1900's in Sydney, Ruby's illustrations were published in the Bulletin and Lone Hand. By 1910 she was living in London, where she continued to create sketches for books including Naughty Sophia (Winifred Letts) and The Lady Marjorie Papers (Holbrook Jackson). Ruby continued to sign her works as 'Ruby Lind' to create an independent artist profile not aligned with her renowned brothers.
