Image size: 16.7 x 24.3 cm Good condition Marvin Lichtner photographed the Beatles in an especially private atmosphere; pictures of that series are very rarely offered on the art market The present print depicts a group portrait of the Beatles drinking coffee in the Hyde Park in London. The picture was taken in the course of a photo shooting that Marvin Lichtner carried out on behalf of the Time Magazine in 1967. The picture appears especially charming due to the fashionable presentation of the band. In fact, the Beatles' clothing was straight from Carnaby Street and immediately attracted people's attention in the park. The silver gelatin print is verso stamped 'PRINT PROPERTY OF TIME INC.' and also reveals the copyright stamp 'CREDIT TO READ: Marvin Lichtner LIFE MAGAZINE © Time Inc.'. There are further handwritten notes such as 'The Beatles 1967' on verso. The print is in good condition considering its age; there are light handling marks especially in the corners. Besides, the print appears slightly yellowed. The image size is 16.7 x 24.3 cm and the size of the sheet is 20.5 x 25.5 cm.
