Entitled to the upper right "The Chairman travels all over Chine." Signature and seal to the bottom right. 38" x 21". With scroll: 75" x 30". Condition: Some creasing.

The scroll faithfully reproduces a famous composition painted by Li Qi in 1960 and entitled The Chairman travels all over Chine, owned by the National Art Museum of China (see Lu Peng, A Pocket History of 20th-century Chinese Art, Milan 2010, p. 849)
