"Iacob Lazar »Ipotesti [dt.: Hypothesen]« 1985", gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 27,5 x 55 cm. Künstlerinfo: auch Jacob Lazăr, als Buchillustrator verwendete er das Pseudonym "Ion Ion", rumänischer Maler, Buchillustrator, Glas- und Seccomaler, Mosaikkünstler und Pädagoge (1931 Trifești/Kreis Neamt bis 2022 Bukarest), studierte bis 1956 an der Akademie Bukarest am Institut „Nicolae Grigorescu“ Monumentalmalerei bei Alexandru Steriadi, George Lowendal, Gheorge Labin und Ştefan Constantinescu, parallel verdingt er sich als Buchillustrator, anschließend beeinflusst von Alexandru Ciucurencu und gänzliche Hinwendung zur Malerei, später Professor an der Akademie Bukarest, tätig in Bukarest, Quelle: Nachruf von Mia Lungu vom 27.06.2022 und Artikel von Corneliu Ostahie zum Künstler. Prof. Iacob Lazar, "Ipotesti" abstract, morning river landscape, impasto painting in almost monochrome colourfulness, on this Corneliu Ostahie writes "... the master's work reveals itself to be of great, unexpected complexity, in the totality of which the technical refinements, manifold and often spectacular, support an exceedingly lyrical pictorial construction generated by an elegiac sensibility, romantically inclined even to magical reveries, ....", partially spatulaed, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right "Iacob Lazar 1985", various stamps and handwritten annotations on the reverse such as "Iacob Lazar Romania" or "Iacob Lazar "Ipotesti [engl.: Hypotheses]" 1985", framed, folding dimensions approx. 27.5 x 55 cm. Artist info: also Jacob Lazăr, as a book illustrator he used the pseudonym "Ion Ion", Romanian painter, book illustrator, glass and secco painter, mosaic artist and educator (1931 Trifești /County of Neamt until 2022 Bucharest), studied monumental painting with Alexandru Steriadi at the Academy of Bucharest at the Institute "Nicolae Grigorescu" until 1956, George Lowendal, Gheorge Labin and Ştefan Constantinescu, at the same time he worked as a book illustrator, then influenced by Alexandru Ciucurencu and turned completely to painting, later professor at the Bucharest Academy, active in Bucharest , source: Obituary by Mia Lungu, 27.06.2022 and article by Corneliu Ostahie on the artist.
