      The sculptor in his atelier. Probably an Antwerp sculptor. Very rare engraving made in Antwerp, published by Nicolaes Lauwers (1600-1650) in Antwerp ca 1630-1650. Very rare engraving, no references found. In good condition. Good impression on laid paper with 2,5 cm margins. Printers crease at the right, fold in the middle and a stain of ink in the text. with a good watermark.

      Nicolaes Lauwers(Antwerpen 1600-1652) The triumphal procession of Ecclesia (The triumph of the Eucharist over ignorance and blindness), engraving, after Rubens, 75 x 112 cm, a vertical central crease, stained, browned, mounted and framed, (Sch) The triumphal procession of Ecclesia is based on a series of sixteen tapestries that Rubens, commissioned by Archduchess Isabella, designed for the monastary of Descalzas Reales in Madrid in 1625.
