Restored with additions to the paper; not examined outside the frame and therefore sold w.a.f. Very rare if not extremely rare. Reverse with information in pencil: "De toneelspeler Nakamura Noshio in de rol van de held Sakuramaru uit het klassieke drama Sugawara Denjû Tenari Kagami. (...) Een ander exemplaar bevindt zich in de verzameling Theodor Scheiwe te Múnster, Duitsland. Beschreven en afgebeeld in "Japanische Holzschnitte" (Von Scheiwe) uitgave Landesmuseum fúr Kunst und Kulturgeschichte Münster. Kunimasa-prenten uiterst zeldzaam (ir. Knuttel)."     1795 Cachet non identifié Cachets Henri Vever, Huguette Berès Format oban 38x25,7 cm BELLE éPREUVE. COLORIS FRAIS Portrait en buste de l'acteur Nakamura Noshio II dans un rôle féminin. Sa coiffure est en partie cachée par une pièce d'étoffe imprimée et il porte sur l'épaule gauche un hasami bako (boîte de forme allongée servant au transport des vêtements). Nakamura Noshio semble être représenté dans le rôle de Tokume, épouse de Gotobei dans le drame Kaeribana yuki no Yoshitsune, représenté au théâtre Miyakoza, le 11e mois de l'année 1795. Deux autres hypothèses sont possibles quant au rôle interprêté par l'acteur : soit il s'agit du rôle de Koiso le palefrenier mais en réalité Nanase, fille du guerrier Masakado (mort vers 940) dans une pièce du répertoire kabuki Seiwa Nidai ôyose Genji, jouée le 11è mois de l'année 1796 au théâtre Miyakoza d'Edo où Koiso (Nanase) du clan Heike aime Watanabe no Tsuna, le guerrier du clan ennemi Genji ; soit du rôle de la courtisane Otome de la maison Ôisoya dans la pièce Edo no haru kichirei Soga jouée au même théâtre le 1er mois de l'année 1797. Il s'agit de l'une des variantes de l'histoire des frères Soga, les protecteurs d'Edo, que l'on joue traditionnellement au début de chaque année. Petites taches brunes. Petits trous et trous de vers.
