August Kraus (1852-1917), Hunter in an Inn, late 19th/early 20th century. Oil on wood framed in a wooden frame richly decorated with stucco and painted with gold paint. Depiction of a man in hunter's clothes sitting at a table with a pipe in his hand in front of a mug of beer. He appears to be talking to someone and gestures, with his dog lying next to his feet. Very realistic and detailed depiction. Signed at the bottom right: A. Kraus. Dimensions: picture ca. 21 x 27 cm, frame ca. 42 x 36,5 cm. With signs of age and wear, frame bumped several times. August Kraus (1852-1917), Jäger im Wirtshaus, Ende 19./Anfang 20. Jh. Öl auf Holz in einem reich mit Stuck verzierten, mit Goldfarbe bemalten Holzrahmen gerahmt. Darstellung eines Mannes in Jägerkleidung, der mit einer Pfeife in der Hand vor einem Krug Bier an einem Tisch sitzt. Er scheint mit jemandem zu reden und gestikuliert, neben seinen Füßen liegt sein Hund. Sehr realistische und detailliert dargestellt. Unten rechts signiert: A. Kraus. Maße: Bild ca. 21 x 27 cm, Rahmen ca. 42 x 36,5 cm. Mit Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, Rahmen mehrfach bestoßen.
