    Arnold Hanson Knight (British, 1906-1949) Views of Poole Harbour both signed lower right "Arnold Knight '38" watercolour 16 x 26cm Arnold Hanson Knight Old Harry Rocks, Dorset signed lower left "Arnold Knight '38" watercolour 25 x 35cm Arnold Knight Poole Harbour signed lower right "Arnold Knight 1934" watercolour 23 x 35cm Arnold Knight Study of the Harbour, Poole, with the Sailing Ship, the Pamir inscribed lower right in the print "drawn by Arnold Knight" woodblock 15 x 22cm five (5) Provenance: The family of Arnold Knight and by descent Arnold Knight studied at Poole and was a member of the Bournemouth Arts Club. He was a keen sailor and and oarsman and a talented landscape painter, known for his views of Dorset and Gloucestershire. He joined the Royal Air Force and worked as a draughtsman on the Folland Gnat, the first plane used by the RAF Display Team the Red Arrows. He showed at the Royal Academy, the RBA and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.

    Arnold Hanson Knight (British, 1906-1949) The Sailing Ship Pamir at Poole signed lower left "Arnold Knight 1937" watercolour 53 x 35cm Provenance: The family of Arnold Knight and by descent Son of a London architect, one of six children, moved to Hayling Island, then to Parkstone, Dorset, then Green Vista in Lilliput, Poole. To accommodate Arnold's polio which he contracted at the age of 13. Keen sailor.
