      Erich Kleinhempel for Theodor Fahrner Historic Jugendstil amethyst, enamel, and silver necklace Erich Kleinhempel was a well-known painter, architect, and designer. From 1890 to 1893 he trained at the Kunstgewerbe School in Dresden, Germany. From 1906 to 1912 he was a teacher at the Kunstgewerbe School, wanting to enlighten young designers at the same school attended. In 1906, Kleinhempel collaborated with Theodor Fahrner for the Deutsche Kunstgewerbe 1906 exhibition in Dresden. Together they produced pieces that highlighted exquisite enamel work and amethysts.
