    KENNEDY, CLARENCE (1892-1972) KENNEDY, CLARENCE AND JOSEPH DUVEEN. Sculptures from the Collection of Gustave Dreyfus, Paris ... acquired ... by Sir Joseph Duveen. Florence: Sir John Duveen, 1930. 1 of 24 copies signed by the printer Tyszkiewicz, this the Duveen copy. 25 1/4 x 17 5/8 inches (64 x 44 cm); 16 pp. preliminaries, 28 plates consisting of mounted original gelatin silver prints by Kennedy. Some binding wear, scattered foxing mostly to text. This luxurious volume is one of the few works Duveen published to publicize his acquisition of the famous Dreyfus collection. There is a single-page introduction to the Dreyfus collection of Renaissance sculpture by Kennedy, Professor of Art at Smith College, with annotated list of plates, all of which were taken by him. Kennedy's accompanying photography is of extraordinary quality, and the work is very rare. C
