A carved wood figure of Saint Mary Magdalene by Jörg Kändel, the reverse flattened and hollowed out. Large remains of old and probably original polychromy. A full-figure of the saint, probably from a group representing "The Lamentation of Christ", standing, with dolorous expression holding an ointment vessel in her hands. The saint wears a plain veil and a belted garment with parallel folds. The drapery of the mantle ruffled to the front of her body, with parallel folds framing other stepped folds. The style of the sculpture is closely related to an altar depicting the Annunciation from Sevgein in Graubünden (Schweizerisches Landesmuseum, Zurich) by the workshop of Jörg Kändels, dated circa 1520. Repaired worm damages and losses to the plinth. Wear and minor losses. Height 124 cm.
