His gaze is straightly directed through a high alley of trees to the wooded hills and mountains in the background. In the center of the screen, in the sunshine a castle rises. It has a red roof and a white façade with one tower and several buildings. Using predominantly green, blue and yellow shades, the artist creates a very atmospheric image. The painting has darkened and shows extensive crazing. The frame is in good condition with traces of age and use. Lower left of the picture is signed and dated with "Jurisch 42". The dimensions are 80 x 67 cm (framed and 59 x 56 cm (canvas).
