      Ferdinand Junck English, late 19th century a young woman reading the scriptures signed: F. Junck. / scpt. white marble with traces of polychromy 33 by 58.5 cm., 13 by 23 in. Junck exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1858 and 1898, during which time he displayed a marble that may be identifiable with the present model: The Magdalene of 1870 (no.1089), carved at his workshop at 7, Tarlington Place, Edgware Road.
