      OSCAR H. JULIUS American, 1882-1965 "The Bank Skiff". Signed lower right "Oscar Julius". Titled on label verso. Partial label verso for the New York Watercolor Club and American Watercolor Society. The label lists the artist's address as 67 West 87th Street and his agent as "Budworth". Note: Julius studied at numerous prestigious art institutions including the Boston Museum School, The National Academy of Design School and The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He was a member of many associations including The American Watercolor Society, The Salmagundi Club and the Guild of American painters. In 1936 a series of his watercolors were chosen for a one-man travelling exhibition. His work is highly identified with coastal New Jersey where he maintained studios in Manasquan and Long Beach. Provenance: Private Collection, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Watercolor on paper, 15" x 19 1/2" sight. Framed.
