    DESCRIPTION: Joseph Nacius (20th Century, Hati). Wood sculpture of four men in a boat like structure of human form with an additional human head and fish head on opposite end. Singed to back. Haitian artist Joseph Nacius was born in Petit Goave, Haiti, in 1939. He is Haiti's first recognized wood sculptor, with much of his work drawn from his voodoo beliefs.
