b. 1943 - d. 2008

Pawel Jocz (Vilnius 1943 - Paris, 2008). Polish painter, sculptor, drawer. After graduating from the Fine Arts Academy in Warsaw in 1970, he moved to France. His works are part of public and private collections in several European countries. His outdoor sculptures of more than 4 m high are inscribed in the landscape of Boulogne-Billancourt (France), Wielsbeke (Belgium), Lodz (Poland). Inspired particularly by the faces, the looks, the expressions, and all that is invisible, difficult to capture, he traced them in an inimitable way, in Indian ink.

His sculptures belong to a world of both past and present, dreams, memories, fears and anxieties.
