Andrew Jensdotter is a visual artist based in Boulder, Colorado. He received an MFA in Painting and Drawing from CU Boulder in 2014. His practice involves large-scale contemporary abstract painting that gleans it subject matter from representational images found in various sources such as the glossy pages of fashion magazines to the changing colors of autumn twilight. Jensdotter examines the ideologies of aesthetic branding, the nature of visual perception, and the emergence of pattern through additive and subtractive processes.
