    Wood block print Hans Jäger (1887-1955) - German painter Hand signed and dated lower right ‚HJäger 22' Titled lower left "Allegro Furioso" 'Handdruck' (= manual print) Monogram in the plate Plate size: 32 x 32 cm Framed with passepartout Very good condition Hans Jäger (1887-1955) was a German painter who mainly focused on the depiction of animals. Especially his wood prints are highly interesting and done with energy and verve. The two stallions here are presented full of life and power and fighting in all their beauty. The curved lines of the dispersed dust add additional dynamic. The size of the frame is 46.7 x 50 cm. The print shows the monogram "JH" in the plate. Set in a passepartout, framed, behind glass - the frame with traces of wear.
