GUSTAV JÄGER - zugeschrieben 1808 - Leipzig - 1871 Verklärung Christi. Aktstudien. Bleistiftzeichnung um 1846. - Auf chamoisfarbenem "J. Whatman 1846"-Vélin. 22 x 34,5 cm. Schwach fleckig, etwas angestaubt und stellenweise leicht gebräunt sowie mit Knitterspuren. Die Figuren der vorliegenden Zeichnung sind in Anordnung und Gestus so sehr Jägers 1846/48 entstandenem gleichnamigen Fresko im Herderzimmer des Weimarer Schlosses ähnlich, daß man die Zeichnung als Vorstudie sehen kann. Der Künstler war auch an den Illustrationen der sog. Cotta-Bibel von 1850 beteiligt. [ms] geschätzter Preis: 400,00 EUR
