Artist Biography: An American painter and art educator, Arthur Jacobson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University Wisconsin, 1948, and a Master of Science degree from the University Wisconsin, 1950. Teacher Taos (New Mexico) Valley Art School, 1952-1953, Philbrook Art Center, Tulsa, 1953-1954. Professor Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, 1956-1986, professor emeritus, since 1986. Guest professor University Wisconsin, Madison, 1967-1968. One-man shows include Yares Gallery, 1981, Kerr Cultural Center, 1989, Arizona Western College, Yuma, 1989, Medford Gallery, Tucson, 1992. Represented in permanent collections Phoenix Museum, New Mexico Museum, Arizona State University, Hastings College, Arizona Western College, Dallas Museum, Pennsylvania Academy Fine Arts and also private collections.
