The large watercolor shows an interior home setting with a bride and groom and bridesmaid standing in front of the minister while family and friends look on. The groom with surprised expression searches for the ring in his pocket. Signed lower left "Wm L Jacobs". Housed in a flat oak stained frame with light brown matte. Accompanying the lot is a color reproduction of the two-page spread and front cover of the Life Magazine. William Leroy Jacobs was an American Illustrator, known today for his cityscapes, figurative drawings and paintings. He was associated with the Society of Illustrators, Chicago Society of Artists and exhibited with Art Institute of Chicago during the late 19th/early 20th Centuries.
