MICHAEL JACKSON Gary, 1958 - Los Angeles, 2009 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, signature edition Woods, 98 x 34 cm Electric guitar with black body and white pickguard, hand-signed by Michael Jackson, in front of the Lanesborough hotel, London, United Kingdom, March 2009. Authenticity Certificate of Authentic Autographed Guitars, London. The Fender, considered the electric guitar par excellence, was born from the inspiration of the young Leo Fender, an enthusiast of American electronics, radios and phonographs. In the span of eight years, two of the longest-lived guitar models spread around the world: the Telecaster in 1950 and the Stratocaster in 1954. Fender's intention is to make a new guitar both from a technical and design point of view, with the abandonment of the traditional form for a more ergonomic solution. The result is a revolutionary tool: thanks to the line innovative and light, it begins to make space among young people and be considered the most advanced among electric guitars of the time becoming a favorite of many country musicians, blues and rock, as Billie Joe Armstrong, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, Bob Dylan and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.
