        DAVID JACKSON (1730 - 1801) Continental congressman from Pennsylvania, served with the Philadelphia Militia during the Revolution, and was a military surgeon present at the Yorktown surrender. Fine association A.L.S., 1p. 4to., [n.p.], Mar. 24, 1797 to JOHN NICHOLSON, the comptroller general of Pennsylvania and partner of Signer Robert Morris. In part: "…I have just seen Mr. Donaldson & have shown him one of the certificates of the unfunded[?] debt which you sent me…the whole of those will neither be of use to you nor Bondsmen - they have already been paid…What is to be done now, my friend?..." Sold with an unrelated letter to Nicholson from one "N. C. Higginson", 1795. Two pieces.
