John Isaacs, British b.1968- In Search of Someone to Lead, someone to Follow, 2008; mixed medi

      Est: £1,500 - £2,500

John Isaacs, British b.1968- In Search of Someone to Lead, someone to Follow, 2008; mixed media chair sculpture; wax, wood, Polystyrene and stage blood, 95x45x50cm (ARR) Provenance: Private Collection, London Note: John Isaacs is a British multimedia artist whose work is highly original and provocative. Isaacs’s output is incredibly diverse, consisting of installation pieces, sculpture, and paintings, which tackle a range of themes and issues. The medium of wax is repeatedly employed by the artist, allowing him, through its appearance which imparts it with a striking similarity to living flesh, to explore the relationship between the material which makes up a body and that which imbues it with life – the ‘spirit’. Isaacs has exhibited extensively over the course of his career throughout Europe and the USA. This work appears to be in good condition. There are minor marks to the resin, there are paint flakes missing from the wood and scratches but these all appear to be integral to the piece.
