  • Boban Ilic (born 1964), Mixed Media on Canvas
    Mar. 31, 2019

Boban Ilic (born 1964), Mixed Media on Canvas

    Est: $100 - $200

Boban Ilic (born 1964), Boban, a native of Yugoslavia, was trained in art at the Belgrade Academy of Art before arriving in the United States in 1991, in search of artistic liberty and opportunity. Upon coming to the United States, Boban felt free to find his unique mode of expression and develop beyond his foundation in European academic studies of the classical art. Boban's unique vision fuses classical knowledge of the human anatomy with his very contemporary use of materials and ideas. Although he is well known for his metallic sculptures, he paints in a similar fashion. Boban’s dream-like paintings present a world of dramatic composition, often portraying figures and emotions. His sensual expressions transcend reality yet maintain the passion and power of the Renaissance spirit. Overall: 21 3/4 x 17 1/2 Sight: 14 1/2 x 10 1/4.
