Her work is included in the collections of the Fuller Museum of Art, the Library of Congress, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.Huse died in 1967.                 Marion Huse (1896 - 1967) Oil on Canvasboard, Signed, Measures ( 10 x 15 inches ) w/frame ( 14 x 18.5 inches )A printmaker, painter, and commercial artist, Marion Huse created work that ranged from realism to abstraction and included portraits, figure subjects, landscapes, and floral still lifes. She traveled widely throughout New England, New York, Quebec, Europe, and the Western United States. She was also an innovative serigrapher, and her serigraphs and monographs were exhibited widely including a major exhibition at the Brockton Art Museum (now Fuller Craft Museum) in Massachusetts in 1985. The Museum owns a large collection of work by the artist.Huse was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, and studied in Boston from 1915 to 1919 at the New School of Design, and from 1919 to 1921 at the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh. She also studied plein-air painting during the 1920s in Provincetown with Charles Hawthorne at the Cape Cod School of Art.

                CERAMICS: Marion Huse (American, 1896-1967), four ceramic pieces: ceramic plaque, unsigned, small plaque with raised edges giving the effect of framed photo, depicts half-length profile of young girl with blonde hair wearing white, girl holds flower in hand, background glazed blue with accents of red, some chips to raised edges, approx. 5" h. x 3 3/4" w.; plate, unsigned, plate with low edges glazed green, white glaze depicts three nude female figures with tree to the right, plate slightly warped in center, approx. 1/2 " h. x 10" d.; vessel, small vessel decorated with double band of abstract female heads, dark blue/black glaze background and interior, heads appear light blue/white and almost appear metallic, some cracking to glaze, approx. 4" h. x 4" w.; along with portrait, initialed on back, raised portrait of woman's face with skin glazed light blue and hair glazed dark blue/black, large cracks one to the upper left and one running horizontally over figure's mouth both appear to have been repaired previously, approx. 10"h. x 6"w.
