      Huggill (Henry Percy, 1886-1957). Port of Liverpool, Old Canning Dock, Landing Stage & Water Street, together four uncoloured etchings, pub. Gainsborough Galleries, Liverpool, 1920, each signed in pencil to lower margin, stamped ArtistÕs Proof to lower left margin, plate size 20 x 25cm (8 x 9.75ins), with full margins, mounted. Henry Percy Huggill (1886-1957), painter and etcher, studied at the Royal College of Art under Frank Short, W. R. Lethaby and Gerald Moira between 1908 and 1914, and was elected to the Royal Society of Etchers in 1970. He was curator of the Atkinson Art Gallery, Southport, and also Head of the Southport School of Art between 1921 and 1930, and then Principal of Liverpool College of Art from 1930 until his retirement.
