    George Holmes (active circa 1789-1804) Fishing on a river Watercolour, 35 x 44.5cm, (13.75 x 17") As a pupil of the Dublin Society's Schools he won a medal for landscape drawing in 1789. He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1799-1802. The British Museum have five Irish views by him in their collection (see Strickland for further information)
