It depicts a winter landscape with a farmstead in the foreground and the mountain panorama in the far distance. The cold and wet atmosphere of the day is well supported by the dark colors of the picture. The painting is in very good condition. There are slight traces of a signature visible at the lower right, which are however difficult to read. One can find a copy of another painting by Hoffmann, fixed onto the surface reverse of the painting. The wooden frame is not the original one and shows small traces of age and use. The framed work measures 51 x 35 cm. The cardboard measures 27.5 x 44 cm. (cbo) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
