TORSO Moravia, Letovice, Pexider, 2nd quarter of the 20th century Torso of a nude, in a movement, on low oval plinth with plants (probably reeds), white glazed bisquit. H. 37 cm. Signed on plinth "RUDOLF HLAVICA", impressed mark "PEXIDER Letovice", label "SKLO SLÁMA BRNO". Condition restored. Rudolf Hlavica (1897-1971) TORZO Morava, Letovice, Pexider, 2. čtvrt. 20. stol. Torzo nahé dívčí postavy pod kolena, bez paží, zachycené v rotačním pohybu patrně při koupání, na nízkém oválném podstavci s florálními výhonky (zřejmě rákosí), pórovina bíle glazovaná. V. 37 cm. Sign. na plintu "RUDOLF HLAVICA", zespodu vtlačená značka "PEXIDER Letovice", nálepka "SKLO SLÁMA BRNO". Stav restaurováno. Sochař, bratr Emila a Františka Hlavicových, studoval na VŠUP v Praze u Š. Zálešáka, tvořil zejména podobizny z kovu a keramiky. Je autorem pomníku M. R. Štefánika v Zariečí na Slovensku či bronzové sochy Elektry v Přerově (1936). Torso einer nackten Mädchenfigur, knietief, ohne Armen, in Drehbewegung erfasst, wohl beim Baden, auf niedrigem Ovalsockel mit Florasprossen (wahrscheinlich Schilf), Keramik, weißglasiert. H. 37 cm. Signiert auf der Plinthe "RUDOLF HLAVICA", bodenseitige Prägemarke "PEXIL.R Letovice", Klebeetikette "SKLO SLÁMA BRNO". Zustand restauriert.

According to the design by Rudolf Hlavica was made by Pexider comp., factory producing an art pottery in Letovice. Comes with a figure of a man mowing the grain. White bisque.
