Künstlerinfo: polnischer Maler, Grafiker und Lichtbildner (1891 Łódź bis 1939 in den Wäldern von Lućmierz), studierte 1910-12 Chemie an der Technischen Hochschule in Darmstadt, danach am Warschauer Polytechnikum, während des 1. Weltkriegs zur Armee in Russland evakuiert, studierte dann in Kiew an der Akademie der Schönen Künste im Bereich Ikonenmalerei, schuf Wandbilder und Buchillustrationen, 1930-37 Ausstellungen des Instituts für Kunstpropaganda (IPS) l, wo er abstrakte Malerei zeigte, experimentierte mit Heliografik, war Aktivist der Liga für Verteidigung von Menschen- und Bürgerrechten, wurde nach der deutschen Besetzung Polens wohl 1939 im Wald in Lućmierz unweit von Łodź erschossen. Artist information: Polish painter, graphic artist and photographer (1891 Łódź to 1939 in the forests of Lućmierz), studied chemistry at the Technical University in Darmstadt from 1910-12, then at the Warsaw Polytechnic, evacuated to the army in Russia during World War 1. Evacuated to the army in Russia during the First World War, then studied icon painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kiev, created murals and book illustrations, 1930-37 exhibitions of the Institute for Art Propaganda (IPS) l, where he showed abstract painting, experimented with heliography, was an activist of the League for the Defence of Human and Civil Rights, was probably shot in the forest in Lućmierz not far from Łodź after the German occupation of Poland in 1939.
