H. studied 1972-78 at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and was then able to continue his studies with a scholarship in Spain. Since 1993 H. is a professor at his former university.

          "Die Drei" Triptychon. Öl auf Leinwand. 1992. Jeweils 200 x 64 cm. 1 Gemälde verso mit zwei Ausstellungsetiketten. Provenienz: Privatsammlung Berlin Der Berliner Maler war nach dem Studium an der Hochschule der Künste in Berlin (1972-78) Stipendiat der Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes im spanischen Garrucha. Held ist seit 1993 Professor an der Universität der Künste Berlin und dort für die Kooperation mit der China Academy of Art in Hangzhou verantwortlich. Seine farbintensiven Motive, v.a. Landschaften, Portraits und Blumen, folgen der figurativen Schule, wo Elemente der Farbflächenmalerei die gegenständliche Darstellung auflösen. Dies wird auch ersichtlich in dem angebotenen monumentalen Triptychon, auf dem drei expressiv-abstrakte Figuren vor den flächigen Farben Blau, Weiß und Rot stehen.
