Heidrun Hegewald Sold at Auction Prices

Heidrun Hegewald studied from 1955 fashion design at the School of Engineering for Clothing Industry Berlin, then from 1958 to 1960 graphics at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. From 1960 to 1971 she worked freelance as a graphic artist in the field of illustration and book design. From 1967 to 1993 she was a member of the VBK of the GDR. From 1971 to 1974 she was a master student of Werner Klemke at the Academy of Arts in the GDR. During this time she was also enrolled as a guest student at the Humboldt University in Berlin under Wolfgang Heise on the history of philosophy and aesthetics. From 1978 to 1988 she was a member of the Central Board and the Presidium of the VBK of the GDR and the District Executive of Berlin VBK. Since 1975 she works as a freelance painter, graphic designer and draftswoman.
