Vibrant colors rush over the clear background, giving the work a strong dynamic with a visible brushwork. The painting is in a good condition. There are slight signs of age and wear in the form of soiling and small paint cracks. The lower right shows the artist's signature. The back is signed, dated and titled ‘Ole Heerup, 76’ and ‘little byslot’. The painting measures 17 x 40.5 cm and the overall framed dimensions are 20.5 x 43.5 cm. Ole Heerup (born 1934) The Danish painter Ole Heerup, the son of Henry Heerup, was born in 1934. From 1957 to 1959, he was a student of Niels Lergaard at the Art Academy. He developed a spontaneous and strong color expression, in which the recognizable forms dissolve. As a member of Koloristerne, Heerup presented his works in 1974 and received the "Eckersbergs Medal" in 1989. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
