The image is from the final panel of the tenth Annie Fanny strip, published in Playboy in November, 1963. Signed lower left, dated 2000 lower right, executed in pencil, ink and watercolor on paper. From the collection of Albert J Raman. Size: sheet is 9" X 12", frame is 13" X 16".

          Hand Inked Model Cel in Frame USA, 1983 Russ Heath (b. 1926)—American comic artist Signed by Russ Heath & Stan Lee With certificate of authenticity from Choice Fine Art Dimensions in frame: 22 ¼ x 17 ½ in. (56.5 x 44.5 cm.) Excellent condition Estimate: $400 The work is a character model cel of Spiderman in three full body poses rendered by comic book artist Russ Heath. The piece includes the pen that Stan Lee used to sign the model cel and a picture of Stan Lee. Russ Heath (American, b. 1926) Comic book artist Russ Heath focused much of his work on western and military themes in response to the reality of World War II during his adolescence. Born in New Jersey, Heath moved to New York City where he landed a position at Timely Comics, a forerunner to Marvel Comics. His work on the series All-American Men of War (1952/1953) published by DC Comics served as the starting point for works by artist Roy Lichtenstein. Stan Lee (American, b. 1922) Stanley Martin Lieber, who adopted the legal name of Stan Lee, began his career as an assistant at the Timely Comics division of Pulp Magazine. Timely would later became Marvel Comics. Lee’s first superhero co-creation was the Destroyer in “Mystic Comics #6”. He gave his superheroes flawed humanity and complexity, a change from the perfect people they once portrayed. Lee is credited as a co-creator of several beloved superhero characters including Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Thor and the X-Men. As the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, he expanded the company into a multimedia corporation. Condition The work appears to be in excellent condition. It was not inspected outside of frame. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.

This Heath re-creation of a scene based on the 1959 Bob Haney thriller, "Tank 711," has a special twist -- Sgt. Rock is now "pinch-hitting" for the tank commander on the original version. This four star battle classic has an image area of 11" x 16", and the art is in Excellent condition. Russ Heath signed the art at the lower right.
