    CAPTAIN LOCKYER WILLIS HART Character & Costumes of Afghaunistan. London: Henry Graves & Company, 2 April 1843. 2° (528 x 370mm). Tinted lithographic title, dedication leaf with lithographic map on verso, 26 tinted lithographic full-page plates by Charles Haghe after Hart, text leaf and advertisement leaf printed in blue, plates interleaved with loose sheets. (Some very light spotting, mainly marginal, occasionally touching image, wear to some margins, some edges chipped.) Original green watered silk boards, the upper cover titled in gilt (re-backed, corners worn). Abbey Travel 511 (suggesting that the text, titled 'Second Series', may have followed on from Atkinson's Sketches in Afghaunistan (1842), also published by Graves); Colas 1380.
