HARDER "1910 Paintings by Heinrich Harder achieve up to 9,000 euros at international auctions Framed Overall dimensions: 107 x 84 cm Provenance: From the estate of a Berlin collector This stunning oil painting is signed by the German landscape painter Heinrich Hader (1858-1935). The viewer is looking from an elevated vantage point at a mountainous landscape. This is covered with lush, green grass and impressive trees. In the background high mountains are rising, partly covered with snow. The painting is slightly yellowed and is apart form a few stains in very good condition. The frame is also in good condition and shows only a few traces of age and wear. The canvas is signed and dated lower left "H. HARDER 1910 ". The dimensions are 107 x (framed) 84 cm and 95 x 72 cm (canvas). Heinrich Hader (1858-1935) The German painter Henry Hader attended for two years the Königliche Kunstschule under Martin Gropius (1824-1880). Later he also studied under Eugen Bracht (1842-1921) at the Königlichen akademischen Hochschule der bildenden Künste in Berlin. He worked primarily as a painter of landscapes and prehistoric animals. His designs for dinosaur figures were executed on the facade of the Aquarium of the Berlin Zoo.

In earthy colours and delicate brush strokes the artist has captured the vast, densely wooded landscape. The painting shows extensive crazing, yellowing and staining. The frame shows traces of age and use as well as some chipping. The canvas is signed lower right with "HEINRICH HARDER". The dimensions are 89 x 106 cm (framed) and 74 x 89 cm (canvas). Hader Heinrich (1858-1935) The German painter, Heinrich Hader, attended for two years the Royal School of Art, managed by Martin Gropius (1824-1880), later he also studied in the class of Eugen Bracht (1842-1921) at the Royal College of Academic Arts in Berlin. He worked primarily as a painter of landscapes and prehistoric animals. His designs for dinosaur figures were implemented on the facade of the Aquarium of the Berlin Zoo.
