        Ink, pencil and lead on wove paper by ‘Hahnemühle’ (Watermark) Japan, 1978 Noriyuki Haraguchi (b. 1946) - Japanese sculptor, installation artist, painter and draftsman Signed and dated in pencil lower right ‘Haraguchi 78’ Dimensions: 77.7 x 107.5 cm Framed: 79 x 108.5 cm Very good condition Minimalist art work by the Japanese artist that is determined by horizontality and verticality The checkered image is dominated by two vertical strips of lead that visually connect with each other, a characteristic stylistic feature in Haraguchi’s art. Condition: The sheet is mounted loosely and framed behind glass. A pale water stain in the lower right, minor discoloration in the edges, some handling creases in the margins, otherwise generally in of very good condition. The sheet dimensions are 77.7 x 107.5 cm, framed 79 x 108.5 cm. Noriyuki Haraguchi (b. 1946) Noriyuki Haraguchi was born in Yokosuka in 1946. He studied Western painting at Nihon University in Tokyo and graduated in 1970. He received first international recognition with his installation ‘Busshitsu (Matter)/Relationship’, a square tub filled to the brim with used oil and three vertical iron plates, which he presented at the documenta 6 in Kassel and which reappears in varying forms in his following installations. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
