Bal des Artistes 1926 / La Mode de Demain. 1926.

    Est: $1,200 - $1,500

ARTIST: LUCIEN HAFFEN (1888-?) SIZE: 21 1/8 x 28 3/4 in./53.7 x 72 cm PRINTER: Imp. Alsacienne, Strasbourg DESCRIPTION: Artists have always been trendsetters, and this promotion for a 1926 artists' ball is no exception: "the fashion of tomorrow" is the theme, and the designer has created a most futuristic design with pulsing colors and playful abstraction. The event was hosted by Maison d'Art Alsacienne, an organization that is still in existence today as The Association of Independent Artists of Alsace, or AIDA. Given their longevity, events like these must have been can't-miss soirées. (Art Deco; Fashion; Artist Balls/Carnaval)
