Mit einer schriftlichen Bestätigung des Künstlers vom 30.10.2020. - Provenienz: Von der Vorbesitzerin direkt beim Künstler erworben. - Hacker studierte an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste München in der Klasse von Ernst Geitlinger. Sein künstlerisches Werk ist in den 1960er Jahren zunächst von der internationalen Künstlerbewegung "Neue Tendenzen" geprägt. Es entstanden konstruktiv-analytische und kinetische Arbeiten, die später von stärker politischen Arbeiten abgelöst wurden. So gründete er 1971 die "7. Produzentengalerie", in der er selbst kuratierte Ausstellungen zu verschiedenen Themenkomplexen realisiert. Von 1990 bis 2007 war Hacker Professor für Malerei an der Universität der Künste Berlin. - Leichte Alterungsspuren. - Beigegeben: vom Künstler signierter Ausstellungskatalog (Dieter Hacker. Dieter Hacker (b. 1942) Born in Augsburg, Dieter Hacker studied at the Art Academy in Munich from 1960 to 1965, where he attended the class of Ernst Geitlinger. During this time Hacker was involved in the founding of the group ‘Effekt’, which dealt with kinetic installations. In 1970 he moved to Berlin, where he has been living and working since then. In 1971, Hacker opened the exhibition space ‘7. Produzentengalerie’ and published an associate magazine in the following year. In 1974 Hacker became a visiting professor at the Hochschule für Künste in Hamburg. Between 1977 and 1980 Hacker also produced films for the German television. In 1986 he was engaged as a set and costume designer by well-known German theater directors like Frank Patrick Steckel and Herbert King.
