Jaap ter Haar Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Jaap ter Haar was born in 1922 in Hilversum, he lived and worked in Laren n.h.

He worked initially as head of the transcription service at the Wereldomroep. Ter Haar was a unique man: he wrote for the NCRV from 1953 ca. 120 radio plays/episodes of Saskia and Jeroen. On the radio followed the adventures of Steve and Snabbeltje that of Saskia and Jeroen, followed by Tuffy, Eelke and Lotje. A million Lotje books were sold! He also wrote the history of Russia. Ter Haar was awarded the Boekenmarkt Prize in 1964 for this achievement.

He wrote the world of Beer Ligthart where he received a Gouden Griffel for. Jaap ter Haar then stopped writing permanently.
From this moment he only painted.

The paintings by Jaap ter Haar are exhibited in America where he sold a large number of his paintings.

Some of his works were used for Unicef greeting cards. See the book "NaÏeve schilders zien ons land". The book is included free of charge

There are many collectors of his work; paintings by him are rarely offered.
