Aktfigur eines Bacchus, der leger auf einem mit einem Löwen- bzw. Pantherfell bedeckten Baumstumpf sitzt, das Haar mit Weintrauben geschmückt. Frühe, reizvolle Bronzeplastik Guiraud-Rivières, der an der École des Beaux-Arts in Paris studierte und schon ab 1906 auf den Salons mit Arbeiten vertreten war. 1937 nahm er auch an der Weltausstellung in Paris teil. His works are primarily executed in bronze (side note: the Parisian foundry Etling was casting his works for over 30 years), which makes this ceramic statue a unique piece. He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists 1907, Salon des Beaux-Arts 1911, International Exhibition in Paris 1937.
