      Frederic Victor Guinzburg New York, (1897 - 1978) Bobby Infant Bust bronze, American Art Foundry NY Titled near base. Signed and foundry mark verso near base. Includes the auction catalog and promotional poster from the Estate of Frederic V. Guinzburg that was held at his home called "Chiselhurst." Guinzburg is listed in the Benezit, and is said to have studied in Rome, Italy, and was a fellow of the National Sculpture Society in New York. He was represented by gallerists in Paris and London, and his works can be found in the collections of the San Francisco Museum and The Fine Arts Museum in Chicago. Notable lots sold at auction, as noted in the Benezit, include Peacock (enamelled bronze fountain, 26" tall), sold in New York on May 30, 1986, for $7,000, and Little Girl Riding a Peacock (gilded bronze, 26" tall), sold in New York on November 14, 1980, for $5,000. Also, on Jun 16, 2008, a large allegorical group bronze depicting eagle, satyr and maiden, were sold by Rose Hill Auction Gallery in Englewood, NJ, for $12,500.

      early 20th century, painted plaster bust of a woman, signed and inscribed "Roma" to verso, bears indiscernible partial copyright date. 23 x 8 x 8.5 in. From the Estate of the late Nicholas and Jeanne Arena, Chapel Hill, NC Nicholas and Jeanne Arena met while studying at the Museum College of Art in Philadelphia. After successful careers in Philadelphia and Manhattan, they founded their own design firm, Nicholas Arena Associates, in Greenwich, CT.
