Stehlampe Entw. HECTOR GUIMARD 1867 Lyon - 1942 New York Franz. Architekt, Innenausstatter und Entwerfer für Kunstgewerbe des Art Nouveau. Stud. in Paris u. a. an der Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Er gestaltete zahlreiche Metro-Eingänge zur Weltausstellung 1900 . Desweiteren erhielt er Aufträge für Privathäuser in und um Paris. Er gilt als der Hauptvertreter des Art Nouveau-Stils und wurde auch oft als Style Guimard bezeichnet. Bronze, vergoldet, farbloses, mattgeätztes - und blaues Glas. Auf asymmetrischem durchbrochenem Fuß mit Tulpen belegt, dreikantiger schlanker Schaft mit Stativkopf, Schirm aus schlanken Glasstäben mit Zwischenelementen mit blauem Glas in beweglich montierten Bronzefassungen, daran anhängend Stäbchen aus vergoldeter Bronze. Gebogte Bekrönung aus facettierten Kristallkugeln. Sechs Brennstellen. H.: 180 cm, Schirmhöhe 55 cm, Schirmbreite 48 cm.

Hector Guimard, French Art Nouveau Period Chandelier Truly rare and exceptional Hector Guimard (French, 1867-1942) chandelier. art nouveau period nickel-plated chandelier having four lights. Cast foliate & scroll arm design frame, arms terminating in tendrils supporting clear glass rod-form prisms and blue oval glass panels. French architect and designer, Guimard achieved early fame with his design for the Castel Beranger, the first art nouveau apartment building in paris, which was selected in an 1899 competition as one of the best new building facades in the city. He is best known for the glass and iron edicules, or canopies, with ornamental curves, which he designed to cover the entrances of the first stations of the Paris Metro. Between 1890 and 1930, Guimard designed and built some fifty buildings, in addition to one hundred and forty-one subway entrances for the Paris Metro, as well as numerous pieces of furniture and other decorative works.

Er gestaltete zahlreiche Metro-Eingänge zur Weltausstellung 1900 . Desweiteren erhielt er Aufträge für Privathäuser in und um Paris. Er gilt als der Hauptvertreter des Art Nouveau-Stils und wurde auch oft als Style Guimard bezeichnet. Bronze, vergoldet, farbloses, mattgeätztes - und blaues Glas. Auf asymmetrischem durchbrochenem Fuß mit Tulpen belegt, dreikantiger schlanker Schaft mit Stativkopf, Schirm aus schlanken Glasstäben mit Zwischenelementen mit blauem Glas in beweglich montierten Bronzefassungen, daran anhängend Stäbchen aus vergoldeter Bronze. Gebogte Bekrönung aus facettierten Kristallkugeln. Sechs Brennstellen. H.: 180 cm, Schirmhöhe 55 cm, Schirmbreite 48 cm.
